Jubilee Caravans
Several years ago Suzy, a 1933 Hillman Minx was purchased by Ken, after a little tender loving care to restore her slightly, but not ruin the fact that she is a glorious 80 year old vintage vehicle, Ken and his wife Annette started attending 1940's events, dressing in attire to suit the period, they particularly enjoyed their days out.
Wanting to stay overnight at some of the 1940's events, a small vintage caravan was sought that Suzy would be capable of towing, having only 10 horse power, the vintage caravan would need to be small and light. After an exhaustive search, it became apparent that the small caravans from the same era as Suzy simply have not survived, some of the bigger caravans still exist as you may have seen whilst out and about, but Suzy simply isn't powerful enough to pull a larger caravan. This is where the journey of Jubilee Caravans begins!
Ken is a accomplished engineer, and there isn't anything that cannot be designed and made by Ken. After researching small caravans from the 1930's and 40's, a design was adopted, plans drawn and the first caravan was put into production!
We hope you enjoy our website, making our vintage caravan has been such fun and seeing peoples reactions to it and talking to them about it is immensely satisfying. If you decide you want to join in with the fun, we would love to make a vintage caravan for you, finished in colours of your choice or to suit your car to complete your outfit, you would be setting out on your own "Vintage Adventure".
If you attend 1940's events, you may well see us, please come and say hello, we have published our events schedule on this website.
